By using our Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in a few different ways:

Information you provide directly. This includes information you give us when you:

  • Create an account or sign in (such as your name, email address, and password).
  • Make a donation (such as your name, billing address, email address, and donation amount).
  • Make a purchase in our online shop (such as your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and order details).
  • Register for or purchase tickets to an event.
  • Sign up for our email newsletter ("Stay in Touch").
  • Contact us through a form, by email, or by phone.
  • Apply for or inquire about support, programs, or becoming an "Angel."

Payment information. When you donate or buy something, your payment card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processors (such as the donation platform and the e-commerce tools that power our Site and shop). We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and acknowledge donations, including issuing receipts for tax purposes.
  • Fulfill and ship orders placed through our online shop.
  • Register you for events and provide event-related information.
  • Create and manage your account.
  • Send you newsletters, updates, event announcements, and other communications you have requested.
  • Respond to your questions, comments, and requests.
  • Operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the Site and our programs.
  • Comply with legal obligations, including recordkeeping required of nonprofit organizations.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and misuse of the Site.

3. Donor Privacy

We respect the trust our donors place in us. We do not sell, rent, or trade our donor lists. We use donor information to process gifts, acknowledge contributions, provide tax receipts, and keep donors informed about our work. You may opt out of donor communications at any time by contacting us using the information in Section 12.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze website traffic and optimize your experience. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. When you accept our use of cookies, your data may be aggregated with other user data for analytics purposes.

You can set your browser to refuse some or all cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Site may not function properly.

Because our Site is built and hosted using a third-party website platform, that platform may also set cookies and collect usage data in accordance with its own privacy practices.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We share information with trusted third parties that help us operate, including our website hosting and e-commerce platform, payment and donation processors, email and newsletter providers, and event ticketing platforms. These providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf.
  • Event partners and platforms. When you purchase event tickets or upgrades, your information is handled by the applicable ticketing platform (for example, the providers used for show tickets and VIP experiences).
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
  • Business or organizational transfers. In the event of a merger, reorganization, dissolution, or similar event, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, consistent with this Privacy Policy.

6. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Site contains links to third-party websites and services, including social media pages (such as Facebook and Instagram), our donation platform, our online store, and event ticketing platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing services to you, maintaining records required for nonprofit and tax purposes, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. Children's Privacy

Although our mission serves children, our Site is intended for use by adults (such as donors, supporters, and parents or guardians). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

If we collect information about a child in connection with our programs (for example, a child receiving support), we do so directly from the child's parent or legal guardian and use that information only to administer the program.

10. Your Privacy Rights

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Request access to and a copy of their personal information.
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of their personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request. You may also authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf.

All users. Regardless of where you live, you may contact us to ask about the information we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete your information, and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
